Gurjar scholarship fund is set-up with contributions from Gurjar members and well-wishers. Gurjar very much relies and appreciates the support of the community for this program. If you wish, feel free to send your contribution checks to Gurjar president or any committee member.
Gurjar awards Merit awards to students who have received Top SAT scores. The amounts are $100, $75 and $50 respectively. Additionally, Gurjar also awards several Scholarships.
The students are ranked based on the following criteria and scholarship will be awarded based on an aggregated score. You can opt not to submit a given document for one or more of the criteria, but in that case, you will be awarded a 0. (zero) score for that criteria. Gurjar will maintain absolute confidentiality of the information that is submitted and will render an un-biased decision. In past, Gurjar has awarded the scholarship to all the applicants.
1. SAT Score (40% weight)
2. GPA (25% weight)
3. Commitment and participation for Gurjar activities (15% weight)
4. Extra-curricular activity (10% weight)
5. Community service and participation (10% weight)
All graduating high school seniors of Gurjar Life members are eligible to apply. If you are not a Gurjar life member, you can become one now, and become eligible, provided that the family has to be a life member for atleast two year as of last day of the month of April.
